determine the antioxidant potential of B. orientale. Fronds of B. orientale were collected from Chikmagalur district of
Karnataka. The fronds were subjected to Soxhlet extraction using methanol. The Antioxidant property in the methanol extract
of B. orientale has been evaluated through different methods. Results indicated that the methanol extract of B. orientale showed
good antioxidant properties against DPPH and Lipid peroxidation activity but failed the activity against Nitric oxide radicals at
the tested concentrations. These findings provide scientific evidence to support its traditional medicinal importance.
<Email>deepabot@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>4</volume><issue>2</issue><year>2013</year><keyword>Blechnum orientale L,Soxhlet extraction,Antioxidant activities</keyword><AUTHORS>Deepa Jayarama Naik,Parashurama Thyagarthi Ramappa,Krishnappa Maddappa,Nataraja Somalapura</AUTHORS><afflication>Department of P.G.
