Its metabolite products being most
probably responsible for its beneficial effects. This paper reviews the Investigation of primary and secondary metabolite
composition and antioxidant activities of 50% methanolic extract of seeds of Cassia fistula which makes this plant remarkable
for researchers. Antioxidant properties of hydromethanolic extracts of seeds of Cassia fistula. Reactive oxygen species (ROS)
such as superoxide anions, hydrogen peroxide, hydroxyl, and nitric oxide radicals play an important role in oxidative stress.
Antioxidant potential of Cassia fistula extracts significantly correlated with the phenolic content of the hydromethanolic
extracts and was determined by the hydrogen peroxide scavenging assay
<Email> kushwahamaya21@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>4</volume><issue>10</issue><year>2013</year><keyword>Cassia fistula,Hydromethanolic,Reactive oxygen species (ROS),Metabolite,Antioxidant</keyword><AUTHORS>Maya Kushwaha,Ramesh Chandra Agrawal</AUTHORS><afflication>Department of Research, Priyamvada Birla Cancer Research Institute, JD Birla Road, Satna, Madhya Pradesh, India.,Department of Research, Priyamvada Birla Cancer Research Institute, JD Birla Road, Satna, Madhya Pradesh, India.</afflication></Article></Articles>
