panel from Applied Biosystems (D3S1358, vWA, FGA, D8S1179, D21S11, D18S51, D5S818, D13S317, D7S820, TH01,
TPOX, CSF1PO, D19S433, D2S1338, D16S539) and several statistical parameters were estimated from a sample of 139
unrelated individuals. samples were extracted using a PrepFiler Forensic DNA Extraction Kit (Applied Biosystems, Foster City,
CA). a different number of alleles were observed with frequencies ranging between 0.004 (D8S1197- allele 9 and 18 , D21S11-
allele 26 and 33, D3S1358-allele 12,13 and 20 , D19S433-allele 18 , TPOX – allele 6and 7, D18S51 - allele 24 and FGA- allele
23.2) and 0.486 (TPOX-allele 8). The highest FIS value for Diyala population has been calculated as D16S539 ( 0.08) and low
FIS value- D21S11 (-0.06). No significant departure from Hardy Weinberg Equilibrium (HWE) expectations were observed (a
5% significance level was taken) in the Diyala- Iraqi Population. The exceptions were the D21S11 (P-value =0.00050),
D16S539 (P-value =0.0047642), D2S1338 (P- value =0.0218069) , D19S433 (p-value= 0.0161895) and FGA (P-value
