effects with development of resistant bacterial strains. Present study is to develop a safe and novel dosage form for efficient
treatment of wounds. Herbal formulations are most acceptable and efficient medication for the treatment of wounds especially
curcumin. The present research is to formulate a dosage form along with curcumin was a traditional way of treating wounds.
For this purpose methanolic extracts of Curcuma longa was used as active crude extract for the preparation of Nanogel. The
nanogel doped extract, in different dilutions, was then checked for its efficacy against Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas
aeruginosa. Preliminary results suggest that Curcuma longa have an inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas
aeruginosa in a concentration dependant manner, so it can be concluded that Curcuma longa Nanogel plays a vital role in
curing wounds by killing or inhibiting the growth of bacteria
<Email>cnramesh1@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>5</volume><issue>4</issue><year>2014</year><keyword>Nanogel,Curcumin,Methanolic extract,Antiseptic</keyword><AUTHORS>C.N.
