synthesis of nanoparticles. In this study, the copper nanoparticles were synthesized from the leaf extracts of Ocimum sanctum
and standardization of different parameters like metal ion concentration, reaction time, pH and ratio in different concentrations
were done. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by using UV–visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared
spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) which shows some reducing compounds such as eugenols, terpenoids and
some aromatic compounds. Finally antimicrobial activities were analysed against different pathogens
<Email>jchitra21@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>5</volume><issue>6</issue><year>2014</year><keyword> Ocimum sanctum,Nanoparticles,UV,FTIR,Antibacterial activity</keyword><AUTHORS>Anuj Bhasker,Rajalakshmi A,Krithiga N,Gurupavithra S,Jayachitra A</AUTHORS><afflication>Dept.of Plant Biotechnology, School of Biotechnology, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamilnadu, India,Dept.of Plant Biotechnology, School of Biotechnology, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamilnadu, India,Dept.of Plant Biotechnology, School of Biotechnology, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamilnadu, India,Dept.of Plant Biotechnology, School of Biotechnology, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamilnadu, India,Dept.of Plant Biotechnology, School of Biotechnology, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamilnadu, India</afflication></Article></Articles>
