ascidian Phallusia arabica. The reduction in paw volume was highly significant in Group V treated with 400 mg/kg bw
followed by Group IV (200mg/kg bw), indicating a dose dependent activity compared to control. Studies on biochemical
parameters of the serum, liver and exudates indicated lower lipid peroxide content and γ -glutamyl transpeptidase activity.
Results showed that ethanolic extract of the Phallusia arabica had potent and significant anti-inflammatory activity
<Email>apcm.research@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>5</volume><issue>7</issue><year>2014</year><keyword>Anti-inflammatory,Simple ascidian,Phallusia arabica,Ethanolic extract,Indomethacin</keyword><AUTHORS>Kohila Subathra Christy H,Jothibai Margret R,Meenakshi VK</AUTHORS><afflication>Department of Chemistry, A.P.C.
