Rocella belangeriana (lichen). The tyrosinase enzyme was obtained from crude mushroom and its solution was made using
phosphate buffer of pH 6.8. Dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) was used for the preparation of usnic acid. A clear solution of
dihydroxyphenyl alanine, phosphate buffer, test solution and crude enzyme solution was made and its absorbance was taken at
475 nm. In a same way control was made and its absorbance was taken at same 475nm. The percentage inhibition of tyrosinase
enzyme caused by standard usnic acid and isolated usnic acid were calculated and was found that isolated usnic acid showed
good percentage of inhibition
<Email>rkmolu103@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>7</volume><issue>2</issue><year>2016</year><keyword>Rocella belangeriana,Tyrosinase,Usnic acid</keyword><AUTHORS>Rita Kalai Chakma,Prakash Yoganandam G</AUTHORS><afflication>Assistant Professor, Faculty of Pharmacy, Bharat Technology, Uluberia, Jadurberia, Banitabla, Howrah, West Bengal- 711316, India,Assistant Professor, College of Pharmacy, MTPG&RIHS, Pudeucherry-605006, Tamil nadu, India</afflication></Article></Articles>
