EXTRACT OF BARK OF NYCTANTHES ARBORTRISTIS LINN</JournalTitle><Abstract>The alcoholic extracts of Nyctanthesarbortristis were evaluated for anthelmintic activity using adult earthworms;
the leaves extract of Nyctanthesarbortristis exhibited a dose-dependent inhibition of spontaneous motility (paralysis) and
evoked responses to pin-prick. With lower doses the effects were comparable with that of albendazole. However, there was
no final recovery in the case of worms treated with hydro-alcoholic extract. The result showed that the hydroalcoholic
extract possessed wormicidal activity and thus, may be useful as an anthelmintic.
<Email>velayuthamsuresh79@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>8</volume><issue>4</issue><year>2017</year><keyword>Anthelmintic,Earthworm,Nyctanthesarbortristis,Paralysis,Albendazole,Hydro-alcoholic extract</keyword><AUTHORS>Suresh V,Senthil Kumar N</AUTHORS><afflication>Research scholar, Department of Pharmacy, Sunrise University, Alwar, Rajasthan, India.,JKK Munirajah Medical Research Foundation College of Pharmacy, B.Komarapalayam-638183, Tamilnadu, India. 2</afflication></Article></Articles>
