old and presenting clinical manifestations of acute pharyngotonsillitis were subjected to clinical interviews, physical
examinations, and throat swab specimen collection to perform cultures. One hundred cases of acute tonsillitis were selected
56 males and44 females aged from 2-18 years at random from the patients attending the outpatient Department of family
medicine, paediatric and ENT department. The selected patients have been now not given antibiotics for one week earlier
